SíncoPaz welcomes participants across languages and musical backgrounds. SíncoPaz is the living practice of gathering through sound and coming together through rhythm. Activation workshops include traditional cajón playing, learning rhythms from the Latinx diaspora, making instruments from recycled materials, and discovering what emerges when people sync up and vibe out.

The project also honors Glass’ teachers, maestros and maestras, who entrusted her not only as a steward of this living tradition but to uplift its practitioners past and present. For Glass, this is also a deeply personal practice: a way of deepening her connection to her own indigenous and criolla ancestry.

The name reflects this approach: síncopa (syncopation) holds the tension between beats, while paz (peace) names the space created when we find rhythm together.
